GTAP-Invest aggregation (s26_r50)

This section documents the aggregated classification used inside GTAP-Invest — a 26-sector × 50-region rollup of the underlying GTAP Data Base, identified by the aggregate string v12_s26_r50. This is the resolution at which GTAP-Invest scenarios are actually solved and at which results are reported.

The aggregation collapses the 65 native GTAP sectors into 26 (mostly 1:1, with four composite sectors — PFD, P_C, MNF, SER — bundling 43 of the originals) and the 163 native GTAP regions into 50 (countries of interest kept individual; rest grouped into continental/economic blocs such as EUR, XSS, XLA). Mappings are sourced from the ee_r264_correspondence.csv and *_extended.csv files produced by the GTAP-Invest econ-extraction pipeline.
