Final Project

The final project will have you replicate one of the problem-sets 03, 04, or 05, but using a different country, dataset or policy question.

One possible source of project ideas is the many other Model Exercises in Burfisher 2021, starting on page 331. Another possible project idea would be to use and analyze one of the other Climate IAMs in the Mimi framework. Yet another idea would be to do an InVEST analysis for a different country and/or different ecosystem services (this will rely on identifying or creating alternate LULC datasets, which will rely on our last hands-on modeling session for land-use change prediction).

Whatever you choose, you will write up your results either in a short report (2-5) pages with a short slide deck (3-6 slides). You will NOT be graded on how polished the papers is (unless I literally can’t understand it).

There will be several intermediateste deliverables to help you stay on track listed in Canvas, specifically:

• 1-2 sentence proposal of waht you would like to do from the above (or other!) options
• A more detailed outline of your project, including data sources, methods, and expected results
• A peer-review of another student’s outline
• The final report and slide deck
