Each pair of bars is one group's share of the United States population, as counted in 2020 and as the Census Bureau projects it for 2060. The non-Hispanic White share falls from 57.8 to 44.3 percent, while the Hispanic share rises from 18.7 to 27.5 percent and the Asian share from 6.0 to 9.1.

"NHPI" is Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander; "AIAN" is American Indian and Alaska Native. Note that the two-or-more-races share falls in this projection, which reflects how the Bureau assigns people to categories rather than a fall in the number of people of mixed heritage.
